Traske M. Muir

Traske M Muir
Traske Muir, MD joined WestSound Orthopaedics in February of 2010.  Dr. Muir’s arrival marks a return of sorts.  A native of Juneau, Alaska he is thrilled to be back in coastal mountain country.  Dr. Muir’s training led him to seven different states before his heart led him back to the great Northwest.

Dr. Muir specializes in orthopaedic surgery with subspecialties in lower extremity surgery including foot, ankle, and knee.  He feels privileged to play a part in the remarkable healing potential of the human body.  Watching his patients return to the activities they love, whether running a marathon or running a lawnmower, is what provides him professional satisfaction.

As the first fellowship-trained Foot & Ankle orthopaedic surgeon in the county, Dr. Muir looks forward to providing a new and essential service here in our local medical community.  Patients can now get advanced, specialist treatment right here in their back yards.

When he’s not engaged with his patients Dr. Muir loves spending time with his other favorite people, his wife and three daughters.  They love the unparalleled outdoor recreation the area provides.  Dr. Muir enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, and camping.  He and his family are also actively involved in their church.
