Donald G. BlissDonald G. Bliss, MD, MPH, FRACS, FACS, FAAOS began practice in St. George, Utah, where he served as the consultant pediatric orthopaedic surgeon for the southern half of the state. In 1990, the Bliss family moved to Kitsap where Dr. Bliss has practiced general orthopaedics emphasizing pediatric and adult reconstructive surgery. Dr. Bliss was instrumental in the formation of WestSound Orthopaedics, PS and supervised the construction of the new building we occupy in Silverdale. His professional interests include Joint Replacement and Reconstructive Surgery of the Hip and Knee; Hip Resurfacing; Computer-assisted Surgical Navigation; Minimally Invasive Surgery Techniques; Osteoporosis diagnosis and treatment; Pediatric Orthopaedics; and Aviation Medicine.

Dr. Bliss has two grown children beginning their own careers. He and his wife, Shawna, share interests in flying, skiing, kayaking, hiking, art, and history. They both are avid users of computer technology. The following is a snapshot of his education, training and certification.
