Meet Our Physical Therapists & PTAs

Mimi Malgarini, PT

Mimi Malgarini, PT

Mimi Malgarini, PT has worked as a physical therapist in our community since 2002. She joined WestSound Orthopaedics in June 2011. Mimi has extensive experience in outpatient rehabilitation including the pediatric population, injury prevention, and pre-natal/post-partum. Her primary approach is through Pilates-based exercises. She received her Pilates rehabilitation certification through Polestar/Balanced Body.

Outside of work, Mimi coaches select soccer for the Bainbridge Island FC. She also plays soccer herself and enjoys gardening, skiing, travel, running, and teaching Pilates.

Ramona Reich, PT, CHT

Ramona Reich, PT, CHT

Ramona Reich, PT, CHT, has worked as a physical therapist in our community since 2004. She joined WestSound Orthopaedics in November 2007. Ramona has extensive physical therapy experience with a primary focus on hand therapy.

Outside of work, Ramona has a real passion for photography.

Ryan Larson, DPT

Ryan Larson, DPT

Ryan Larson came to WestSound Orthopaedics in November 2013 from Davenport, Iowa. He has always worked in outpatient orthopaedic and sports medicine clinics. His specialty area is sports medicine, and he enjoys working with athletes of all ages and levels. 

Ryan loves the variety of patients he is able to provide care for while working in an outpatient setting, especially all types of post-surgical, trauma, injury, and chronic pain patients. Ryan is also part of the sports medicine team at WSO, which allows him to be involved in the on-field care of our athletic teams. “It’s always a great feeling when you can take an athlete from an injury on the field through the rehabilitation process, and return them to performance at a higher level.”

In his free time, Ryan enjoys being outdoors. Growing up on the Mississippi set a foundation for his love of the outdoors. His hobbies include hiking, fishing, hunting, boating, skiing, riding his motorcycle and his classic car. He also loves spending time with his family and their two dogs. Ryan is looking forward to making the Northwest his home for many years to come.

Leslie Holt, PTA

Leslie Holt, PTA

Leslie Holt completed the Olympic College physical therapist assistant program in 2012 and has since practiced in outpatient rehab. She joined WestSound Orthopaedics in March 2013 and enjoys working with patients of all ages. Leslie enjoys integrating her Pilates-based experience and approaching each patient from an individual perspective to assist them in reaching their rehab goals. 

Outside of work Leslie enjoys camping, gardening, and watching the Mariners and Seahawks.


Karen Jorgenson, PTA

Karen Jorgenson, PTA

Karen Jorgenson has been working in the field of physical therapy since 1984. She joined WestSound Orthopaedics in January 2008. For the past 7 years she has pursued her passion for learning the manual technique of the Jones Strain and Counter strain techniques for relieving pain and increasing range of motion. In addition, she has studied hand therapy under the guidance of our certified hand therapist, Ramona Reich. 

Outside of work, Karen’s major interest is photography. After having a total knee replacement, Karen took up hiking, where she enjoys photographing nature.
